Healey Heritage staff wrote and submitted the Archaeological Assessment and Archaeological Report for this 19th-century cottage. This evolved building recording, photography and material sampling, with mapping of the foundations and subfloor deposits. The cottage was one of the last surviving examples of 19th-century working-class cottages in Kaiapoi, and the report was provided to the local historic society as well as the client.
